Garage and Impound System

Overview

BCRP Parking provides physical parking terminals around Broken Compass. Players can store their owned vehicles at public parking locations and retrieve them at other public parking terminals. Impound terminals provide a separate recovery service for vehicles impounded by police.

Two location types are currently implemented:

Parking is a vehicle storage and retrieval service, not a job vehicle issuer, shared fleet manager, or vehicle shop.

Player guide

Public parking

1. Drive an eligible vehicle you own into a public parking location’s designated parking area.

2. While in the driver’s seat, use the public parking interaction to Park Vehicle.

3. To retrieve a stored vehicle, visit a public parking terminal and choose Retrieve Vehicle.

4. Select the vehicle from the list. The system spawns it at that location’s configured vehicle spawn point.

Important: Public parking is a shared retrieval network. A vehicle parked at one public location can be retrieved from another public location, subject to normal vehicle eligibility and availability rules.

Parking may be refused when you are a passenger, moving too quickly, outside the parking radius, or wearing a seatbelt/harness that must be disengaged before exiting. Follow the notification shown in-game.

Stored vehicles retain their vehicle properties and condition through the garage integration. Vehicle keys should be issued for the vehicle retrieved.

Impound recovery

Impound terminals are distinct from public parking terminals. You cannot park an ordinary vehicle at an impound terminal.

1. Travel to an orange IMPOUND LOT terminal on foot.

2. Use View Impound to see your relevant impounded vehicles.

3. During a police hold, a vehicle remains visible but is marked Impounded — Not yet available. Its fee and condition may still be displayed.

4. When the hold has expired and the server has released the vehicle, the Take out option becomes available.

5. Pay the displayed recovery fee and retrieve the vehicle.

A vehicle being visible in the impound list does not mean it is eligible for release. The server controls that decision. Impound menus are not intended to open while seated in a vehicle.

FAQs

Where did my vehicle go? Check public parking retrieval for normally stored vehicles; check the impound service for vehicles impounded by police.

Can I retrieve an impounded vehicle from a red parking terminal? No. Public parking and impound are separate services.

Why can I see an impounded vehicle but not take it out? Its police hold is still active, or the server has not yet completed the scheduled release check.

Are police and fire vehicles supported? Vehicles personally purchased and owned by a character may use the ordinary owned-vehicle storage rules when eligible. Issuing job-owned or temporary work vehicles is handled by the relevant job resource, not BCRP Parking.
